An Old Book: Fidgety Phil

After Fidget to Focus had gone to print, one of the authors unexpectedly came across an amazing treasure: a volume, printed in Philadelphia in 1884, of Dr. Heinrich Hoffman's original children's book translated into English. The version of Fidgety Phil in that book is slightly different than the one cited in our book. We've reproduced the other one for you here as a matter of general and historical interest.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THE BOOK

"Fidgeting to stay focused...Imagine that! Sounds counterintuitive, but that is just what Dr. Rotz and Coach Sarah Wright are recommending in their new book, Fidget to Focus. Advocating repetitive sensory-motor activities as a fundamental strategy for improving attention and other cognitive abilities, they present a unique and fun way to turn outer chaos to calm focus."
